Compare
Your POS records the sale. Something has to keep the branch able to make it.
These are not competing systems. A point-of-sale platform handles transactions, menus and pricing. BranchFlow handles the equipment, checks, supplies and vendor work behind them.
Difference in emphasis
A neutral read, topic by topic. Anything about another product should be checked on that vendor's own pages.
| Topic | BranchFlow | Restaurant POS and back-office systems |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | Operational work: issues, checks, equipment, supplies, vendors. | Transactions, menus, pricing and sales reporting. |
| Equipment failure | A record with an owner, downtime and verified closure. | Usually visible only as lost sales. |
| Food-safety checks | Versioned procedures with evidence and corrective work. | Not typically part of a POS. |
| Sales data | Read from your POS once connected, to compare work against trading. | The system of record for sales. |
Where each option fits
Choose BranchFlow when
- You can see sales but not why a branch underperformed.
- Equipment downtime is not measured anywhere.
The other option may suit you better when
- You need transactions, menus, pricing and tills managed.
What we will not pretend
The limits of our own product, stated here rather than discovered later.
- Reading sales and supplier data has been built, including an Oracle MICROS Simphony connector, but nothing is live until your credentials are added and tested in your own workspace.
- BranchFlow never writes into your POS.
How to verify this yourself
- Your POS vendor's documentation
Confirm which data your contract allows you to read.
- Do we replace our POS?
- No. Keep it. BranchFlow reads from it once connected and manages the operational work around it.
- Why is there no price comparison?
- Published prices change by plan, region and contract. Check each vendor's own pricing page at the time you decide.
- How was this written?
- From publicly available positioning in September 2026, with no private information and no material copied from another vendor.
